Treatment Options At Aster
At Aster, we specialise in prescribing pre-filled injectable medicines for weight management. There are two types of medicine offered through our services: Mounjaro (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide). The pens each contain 4 doses, and you self-inject one dose a week. Every 4 weeks, before your new medicine is prescribed, you’ll complete a questionnaire check-in. At least once every 12 weeks, you’ll also complete a video call with your prescriber to discuss progress and lifestyle changes.
Some other providers don’t do video calls, so why do we? Well, we know that patients who combine the use of weight-loss medicines with exercise and dietary changes are typically able to stay on a lower dose of the medicine, see improved health in other areas (such as blood pressure and cardiac health) and are able to keep a sustained weight-loss after stopping the medicine, which means they don’t have to go back on it.
By offering video calls, our prescribers can see you face-to-face, and you get the opportunity to discuss your health with an experienced provider who can guide you in making lifestyle changes.

A once-weekly injection for weight management that acts on two appetite-regulating hormone pathways (GIP and GLP-1) to reduce hunger and support meaningful weight loss. It can also improve blood-sugar control and is licensed for type 2 diabetes in some settings, depending on the product indication.

Wegovy (Semaglutide) Flextouch
A once-weekly GLP-1 injection for weight management that reduces appetite, helps you feel fuller sooner, and supports sustained weight loss alongside diet and activity changes. It’s specifically licensed for weight management (distinct from Ozempic, which is indicated for type 2 diabetes).

Wegovy (Semaglutide) Oral Tablets
A once-daily GLP-1 oral tablet for weight management that reduces appetite, helps you feel fuller sooner, and supports sustained weight loss alongside diet and activity changes. It will be specifically licensed for weight management (distinct from Rybelsus, which is indicated for type 2 diabetes).
Pricing
We aim to be as transparent as possible about our pricing. We charge per item prescribed: no consultation fees, no delivery fees, and no hidden costs.
Choosing your treatment
Your prescriber will discuss which treatment is best for you in your initial consultation. It’s perfectly reasonable to choose a medicine based upon a combination of clinical advice, what price is in your budget, and how suited the medicine is to you.
